"The Scene" is an outdoor continental restaurant located in the heart of JP Nagar, Bangalore. Their concept is to provide a unique dining experience under a canopy of trees with an architecture that accentuates the surrounding landscape. As customers step into the restaurant, they will be greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that is perfect for a casual meal with friends or a romantic dinner with your loved one.

MY ROLE & TEAM

As a member of the design team for The Scene project, I was responsible for contributing to the overall branding and design direction of the restaurant. Working closely with the operations team, architect, social media team, copy writers and site manager (for internal and external signages and material selection), my role involved creating various design assets for the restaurant's branding and marketing campaigns, as well as designing the menu and restaurant collateral.

WHAT I DELIVERED

Developed the visual identity for the restaurant, which included selecting a color palette, typography, and imagery that captured the essence of the brand. I also contributed to the creation of various marketing materials, such as social media graphics, email campaigns, and promotional posters.

COLOR PALETTE

Highland green and deep emerald were chosen for their rich, earthy tones, which perfectly captured the restaurant's outdoor dining experience. Peach and pumpkin pie were selected for their warm and inviting hues, which complemented the restaurant's fresh and contemporary atmosphere. Capri and monaco were chosen for their cool and refreshing shades and their complimentary nature to the .

Finally, bermuda grey, almond, and slate grey were chosen for their versatile and neutral tones, which provided a perfect backdrop for the other colors in the palette. These colors were used primarily for the restaurant's menu design, where they helped to make the menu items stand out and easy to read.

STATIONERY

FONT PALETTE

We selected six distinct fonts that worked seamlessly together to create a cohesive brand identity. Overpass was chosen as the primary font for the logo and headlines due to its modern and bold characteristics. Overpass Mono, a monospaced version of Overpass, was selected for use in menus and other printed materials where a typewriter-style font was desired.

For additional headers, we selected Vrache Caps, a versatile font that is both legible and visually striking. Brandon Grotesque was chosen for body copy due to its clean and modern aesthetic, which complemented the overall branding of the restaurant.

Eczar was used for secondary body copy and other longer-form text, as it is highly legible and easy to read. Finally, Carola was selected for use in any supporting graphics or design elements, as its thin and elegant lines added a touch of sophistication to the overall brand identity.

The stationery design for The Scene project was a critical component of the brand identity. We worked closely with the client to ensure that every element of the design reflected the essence of the restaurant and created a cohesive and recognizable brand experience for customers.
